In this technical article we will discuss the steps involved in resolving dongle driver issues.

In this technical article we will discuss the steps involved in resolving dongle driver issues.

If you are having any problems installing the dongle drivers please remove your dongle follow the steps below:

1)We first need to check if any previous or failed dongle drivers are still installed… Go to your control panel (found under the start menu) and go to Programs and Features (Add/Remove Programs for windows XP), You will see a list of programs in alphabetical order, locate the program called “Sentinel Protection Installer” and select it, then click the Uninstall (Add/Remove) button and proceed to un-install this program. Note that if there is no program in the list that matches this description proceed to step 2.

2)Download the program called SSD Cleanup. located in the table at this link http://www.safenet-inc.com/Support_and_Downloads/Download_Drivers/Sentinel_Drivers.aspx
Make sure that you download the the 64bit one if you have a 64bit operating system installed. Extract the zip file once it has downloaded and run the file called SSDCleanup.exe, when prompted if you would like to continue press “y” and follow the on-screen prompts.

3) Restart your computer and enter the system (BIOS) setup by pressing one of the following keys F1 F2 DEL ESC F10, you will usually be prompted which key to press with a message like this: Press F2 to enter setup or Press Delete to enter system configuration utility, this message should appear just a few seconds after powering up the computer. In the system setup you will need to find a setting called “Parralell Port Mode” or “Printer Port Mode”, this is usually located under a section called “Integrated Peripherals”. Change this mode to “EPP + ECP” also commonly represented as “Bi-directional” or “Both”. Exit the setup while saving the changes. Note that not all computers will have a parallel port mode listed in the setup, in this case move on to step 4.

4) Download the latest Sentinel Protection Installer (Dongle Drivers) found in the table at this link http://www.safenet-inc.com/Support_and_Downloads/Download_Drivers/Sentinel_Drivers.aspx. Unzip the file and run the Sentinel Protection Installer.exe. Follow the on-screen prompts. When Asked if you would like to do a complete or Custom setup choose the “Custom” option and then for each option except for the “Parallel Driver” and the “USB system Driver” choose “This feature will not be available” from the drop down menu, now follow the prompts to the end.

5) If you still have problems installing the drivers you will need to do steps 1 and 2 again and then download the latest chipset / motherboard drivers from your motherboard manufacturer’s website. You will usually need the motherboard model number which can usually be found written in large white letters on the motherboard. Once you have installed your latest chipset drivers restart the computer and try step 4 again.

Showerlux partners with 20-20 Fusion

Leading bathroom manufacturer Showerlux UK has joined forces with 20-20 Fusion to make the specification of its luxury enclosures and wetrooms even easier for bathroom retailers and merchants using its Fusion Bathrooms software.

The entire Showerlux portfolio has been cataloged to enable those with access to 20-20 Fusion’s advanced design and visualization software Fusion Bathooms to incorporate the popular bathroom brand into their designs. This results in accurate plans for installers to work from and photo realistic 2D and 3D drawings to inspire homeowners to invest.

Bob Bowler, MD at Showerlux UK, comments: “Undoubtedly, sound bathroom design is highly important and as a manufacturer it is vital that we make it as straightforward as possible for people to understand the visual and practical benefits of our products, which is just one of the reasons we decided to partner with 20-20 Fusion.”

In addition to stylish products such as Urban Chic, Linea Touch, Glide and Designa Nexus, the catalogue also allows for designers to experiment with Showerlux’s made-to measure service. Lee Clark, Corporate Business Manager at 20-20 Fusion, adds “Designed to reduce mistakes and speed up the whole process, we’ve increased the functionality of the software and as a result those using it will find it just as easy to include a standard product or up sell to work in a bespoke item from Showerlux. The new Showerlux catalogue will be available to all existing Fusion customers which is great news for us and great promotion for the Showerlux brand.”

For further information visit www.showerlux.co.uk or call +27 (0)11 083 5968.

Please be advised that the catalogue is the UK Showerlux offering.

Error/Question: We have noticed that the colours in V16 are coming out in the incorrect categories. For example I tried to change the colour of the glass on a WMG100 from the Universal Kitchens NDS and it comes up with Leather. How do we sort this out. It is like this for all catalogues we use.

Answer/Fix:

Our Data department have had to make a change to the fusionbase which is the shader categories which are found in the colour table and help the user in fusion to find new colours. This change will not affect any of your catalogue data as the colour ID and name has not changed. But this will affect how the user finds colours in fusion for example if they search for granite colour water will come up.

To fix this problem all that needs to happen is for the analyst to delete the shader categories out of the manufacturer catalogue so that it looks to the base file. You need to open the catalogue in Ce.exe and open the colour table section, then Open the Colour Shaders section, press ctrl+A and in the edit menu please select clear.

Sorry about this, the change was needed for black box (a future catalogue creation tool that is being written).

8 )Double click on the “Shader catagories”
9) Press ctrl + A
10) In the edit menu please select clear.
11) Click file exit and exit the catalogue editor
12) Go to tools and catalogue setup
